The Fun Guide to Becoming Italian

It's not unusual to visit a new place during a vacation and loving it and actually ending up  moving there. Italy is known to be a beautiful country rich in culture, architecture, delicious food and good wine and most of all known for the "la dolce vita"  the good life). Many  of my friends had gone to Italy for vacation and fell in love with the Italian lifestyle and cutlure and actually decided to move there and did.

The Italian cutlure and traditions are simply a flair of happiness and becoming Italian is not as complicated as it seems. Moving to Italy and becoming part of it's traditions and cutlure can be fun and easy:

  • Stop drinking cappuccino after 10 am
  • Italians take pride in their coffee and  you will take pride of your new Gaggia espresso machine
  • You'll end up downloading the Italian National Anthem on your i-pod, i-pad or i-phone
  • Your new kitchen appliance will be a pasta machine - handy at all times
  • Your partner or better (compagno) offers to buy you a pair of Italian shoes and you prefer a vespa.
  • You will start expressing yourself with hand movements as if  your praying when saying: "Mamma mia"
  • Your bidet will become your next best friend
  • A stranger appears on your land as if he' is nosey and you'll end up offering him an espresso.
